Man Of The Year Award, 2007
Michael Tooker


Michael Tooker is an exceptional husband, father and man of God. He was chosen to be the Man of the Year for his dedication to the work of Homemakers By Choice. Michael has gathered the husbands of HBC women to help out the ministry in times of need, forming the group called the HBC Champions.

Michael is married to Chris, who loves being a homemaker and has been involved with HBC for years. They have two fine young boys, David and Grant.

Michael is a certified mortgage planning specialist (a designation that less than 2% of loan originators in the country have) for Valley Private Mortgage Group.

He has a BHA from the University of Texas in Austin, and an MBA from ASU.

Congratulations, Michael, on being the Man of the Year!

Jesus Barncastle


Jesus Barncastle is on the facilities staff at Scottsdale Bible and each week goes over and above to help us.  He is kind and thoughtful and a true servant.

Michael Tope


Michael Tope, who is married to Traci Tope the HBC Executive Director, was the favorite choice and became the unanimous selection for his overt acts of kindness iniatiated on behalf of HBC.

  • Services from his firm helped us trememdously with employee services
  • Gifts of a monetary nature
  • Regard for others as more important than himself
  • Unselfish with his wife and her time

Bob Barnes

David Otto, our Man of the Year 2003 and Bob Barnes, husband of Emilie Barnes, our Man of the Year 2004. They have been our encouragers and supporters, financially and emotionally. We are so grateful for their love of the ministry of Homemakers by Choice.
